Welcome to the Bacchus Marsh History Website. This site explores the history of the town and surrounding area of Bacchus Marsh, a community of 13,000 people located 54 km west of Melbourne, capital city of the state of Victoria, Australia.
This site has been created out of our own interest in our town. While we try to include accurate and well researched information, we do not claim this site to be the official and authoritative historical website of Bacchus Marsh and District.

Website Creators
We are long time residents of rural Australia. We have been living in Bacchus Marsh since the 1990s. We are members of the Bacchus Marsh & District Society (BM&DHS), but this site is our personal project, exploring Bacchus Marsh and district history.
